WALLACE DETROIT GUITARS IS EXPANDING!

We are hiring 2 FULL TIME Luthiers.
We take great pride in our work as well as being a part of Detroit. We are looking for luthiers that feel the same. The ideal candidates must have the skills and experience necessary to share their passion for creating guitars out of reclaimed Detroit wood.
We are searching for luthiers that have their own work space.
We will supply everything that you need to build the best Wallace Detroit Guitar.
Responsibilities and Duties
Custom work – Must be excited and up for the challenge of working with reclaimed wood.
- Setups must have an understanding of all necessary adjustments, the order in which they need to be completed, ability to accurately measure and set all tolerances (including nut action), compensate adjustments for buzzing issues, and quickly identify neck and/or fret issues that will compromise playability.
- Electrical must have the ability to properly solder, a basic knowledge of guitar circuit wiring, able to read a wiring diagram, replace all electrical components (pots, push/pulls, switches, caps, jacks, pickups) correctly and safely.
Qualifications and Skills
- Ability and enthusiasm for designing and building custom guitars.
- The ability to identify guitar issues quickly and efficiently.
- Open minded approach to receiving guidance and direction.
- Takes pride in performing quality work.
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal).
